Dessert Pizza Dough Recipe!

Dessert Dough

Here is a great dessert pizza dough recipe I’ve been using lately:

– 1.5C King Arthur Bread Flour

– 1C Vanilla Greek Yogurt

– 1 TBSP granulated sugar

– 2 tsp baking powder

– a few pinches of salt

Mix all dry ingredients with a whisk.

Mix in Greek yogurt until blended well.

Knead for about 10 minutes by hand.

Ball it up, cover in plastic wrap and rest 1 hour.

It’ll look like this:

Roll or stretch by hand and top with whatever dessert you are making. This version, we made Apple crisp pizza! We have used the same dough for all sorts of dessert base, such as s’mores pizza!

I made the toppings up on the fly, so no specific measurements, but generally here’s what I did:

Topping one:

  • -Sliced one honey crisp apple, very thin.
  • Tossed the Apple slices in about 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • Sprinkled about a tablespoon of sugar and a few dashes of cinnamon and tossed the slices again well.

Topping two:

  • Melted about 1/2 cup of butter
  • Stirred in about 1/2 cup of brown sugar and a teaspoon or so of cinnamon
  • Mix in about a 1/4 cup of quick oats

Baking:

  • Top the dough with Topping one (the apple mixture)
  • Bake until the dough starts to firm up, where you can start to see slight browning (time varies based on temp and oven)
  • Remove the pizza and top with Topping 2, sprinkling it around as evenly as you can. Using your hands and a spoon is easiest.
  • Bake the pizza again until crust and topping is golden brown, but not burnt.

After slicing, I put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each, which was excellent.

Pizza after adding topping 2, before last bake:

After it was done:

Enjoy!!!
