Smoked Chex Mix!

Smoked Chex Mix!

Chex mix is amazing, but throw it on the smoker and you end up with some next level stuff! Here I use my Green Mountain Grills Jim Bowie and Bull Rack (which also works well for jerky!) to make some of the best Chex mix in the history of planet earth. Recipe below – enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Wheat Chex
  • 1 box Corn Chex
  • 1 box Hot n Spicy Cheez Its
  • 1/2 box Cheerios (not pictured)
  • 1 container of mixed nuts
  • 1 bag of cheddar pretzels
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 TBSP of Johnny’s French Dip Au Jus Concentrate
  • Boar’s Night Out Double Garlic Butter to taste
  • Whatever other delicious ingredients you want!

Directions

  • Prepare GMG or another smoker to 250 degrees
  • Pour all dry ingredients into a large pan or bowl
  • Season all the dry ingredients
  • Melt butter and add French Dip Au Jus
  • Slowly pour melted butter / Au Jus into pan and mix ingredients gently.
  • Spread ingredients evenly onto cookie sheets and place into smoker. If you are using a bull rack, you can use two sheets. If not, just put all of it onto one sheet.
  • Cook at 250 degrees for 30 minutes
  • Gently stir all ingredients and rotate sheets (if using more than one)
  • Cook at 250 degrees for another 30 minutes and let cool
  • Done
  • Enjoy!!!!
